LifeWalk is looking for an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. We are currently redesigning our website, and will soon launch a social media campaign. The intern will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team who are very excited to share this exciting launch with an intern hoping to gain a ton of great online experience.

Qualifications

  • Be available to work 20 hours per week

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer competency.

  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest)

  • Experience with SEO including basic understanding of Google Analytics a plus

  • Have knowledge of schedulers such as Hootsuite.

  • Be self-motivated, organized, willing to help with any project no matter how large or small, and be able to balance multiple priorities at once.

  • Team player, but also has the ability to work independently

  • Graphic design skills a plus


Social Media:

  • Manage Facebook and Twitter account

  • Post updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content

  • Perform research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our customer base and posts it to our Facebook and Twitter page in a manner that invites conversation and interaction

  • Update Facebook and Twitter accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from activities and events

  • Grows online social networks by increasing fan-base and interactions

  • Maintain current information in Google+ and LinkedIn accounts

  • Regularly observe the online activity of model organizations researches and report on “social media best practices”.

  • Update website as needed

  • Complete other social media projects as assigned

Digital Media:

  • Take pictures and videos of training events to be developed into content for the website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

  • Uploads photos and videos to the appropriate server

  • Organizes and archives digital images and videos

  • Completes other digital media projects as assigned
