PermaCityLife is seeking an Business Intern to help create a business plan for the proposed arts block in Franklin. PermaCityLife has so far succeeded in bringing art to the city's downtown area via pop-up art galleries. Something more permanent is needed to anchor these social and cultural activities, and they have identified two buildings to form the Arts, Culture and Entertainment Block for downtown Franklin.
The current proposition is for one building to feature an art gallery and eatery on the first floor, with a bar and rooftop garden on the second floor. After renovations, this space will flow right into the other building which will house performing arts and a music venue with a recording studio. In the business model, we hope to include how artists will work collaboratively to manage the art gallery, music venue and the eateries that would create financial viability to them to prosper.
